MountainHouse Church: Dual 2.6mm LED Screens for Clearer Worship Visuals
MountainHouse Church in South Lake Tahoe, California came to Qohr with a visibility problem. Their projection system washed out under the room's lighting, and parts of the congregation struggled to read lyrics and other worship content clearly.
Instead of placing one large display in the center of the stage, Qohr designed and installed two 2.6mm LED screens that flank the platform and provide clearer sightlines across the wide sanctuary.
The Challenge
The church needed brighter, sharper visuals without allowing a single screen to dominate the stage design. People seated on both sides of the room needed a useful viewing angle, and text needed to remain clear for the seats closest to the platform.
The finished system also needed clean rigging and cable paths so the displays would feel integrated into the architecture rather than added to the room as an afterthought.
Why Qohr Recommended Dual LED Screens
A wide room can create difficult sightlines for a single center display. Dual screens allow each seating section to look toward the nearest visual surface and keep the center of the stage available for worship, teaching, and scenic design.
LED technology also produces its own light, so the screens maintain brightness and contrast when stage and house lighting are in use. The church no longer has to darken the room simply to make lyrics readable.
What Qohr Installed
Dual 2.6mm LED Screens
Each screen uses Qohr 2.6mm LED cabinets configured to fit the available stage dimensions. A combination of cabinet sizes allowed the displays to reach the required proportions while keeping the two sides visually consistent.
The 2.6mm pixel pitch was selected for the church's viewing distances so lyrics, scripture, graphics, and video would remain clear from the front seating areas through the back of the room.
Clean Structure and Cable Paths
The support, power, data, and signal paths were coordinated around the stage so the screens feel built into the room. Keeping infrastructure organized also improves service access and reduces visible cabling around the displays.
Integration With the Church's Video Workflow
The LED screens were connected to the church's production system so the team could continue using familiar presentation content and service workflows. The goal was to improve the visual result without making Sunday operation unnecessarily complicated.
The Result
MountainHouse Church now has bright, high-visibility lyrics and video on both sides of the stage. The dual-screen arrangement provides clearer sightlines throughout the sanctuary, preserves the center of the platform, and remains visible under the room's lighting.
The LED project also became the beginning of a longer partnership. MountainHouse later brought Qohr back for a complete stage and house lighting upgrade.
