Outdoor coverage

One loud speaker is not coverage.

Outdoor audio usually fails at one of two extremes: too quiet at the edges or painfully loud near the source. Life Co needed music and announcements to extend across the campus without turning the entrance into the loudest place outside.

Life Co Chester exterior with distributed SoundTube speakers mounted along the building

Six points. One continuous campus.

Smaller sources spread along the building carry sound farther at a lower local level. The result is coverage that follows the path instead of shouting from one doorway.

Networked audio

Attach to the building. Address on the network.

The exterior loudspeakers are weather-ready endpoints, not a separate consumer system. Dante and SoundTube's network infrastructure let Qohr integrate, program, and control the outdoor zones from the church's existing audio environment.

The system reveals itself one path at a time.

Coverage continues along the façade and around the corner, keeping the listening experience consistent as people move through the property.

Main arrival

Follow the entrance.

Side path

Continue around the corner.

Outside the sanctuary. Inside the same system.

The project combines weather-rated loudspeakers, network audio, installation, programming, tuning, and training as one usable exterior extension.

Distributed coverage

Six smaller loudspeaker locations carry music and announcements across walkways and gathering areas without forcing one source to overpower the entrance.

Weather-ready hardware

Black SoundTube IPD-SM82-EZ-II-WX speakers use an 8-inch, two-way format built for exposed exterior conditions.

Networked audio

Dante-enabled endpoints and a SoundTube STNet Switch II connect the exterior system cleanly to the church's existing audio infrastructure.

Commissioning

Qohr programmed and tuned the system for comfortable day-to-day operation, then trained the Life Co team on control.

Comfortable everywhere. Overpowering nowhere.

Music and announcements now follow people through the campus without dead zones at the edges or one painfully loud source at the door.
