Camera-ready lighting

Lighting had to do two jobs at the same time.

MountainHouse needed a welcoming, flexible sanctuary for worship, teaching, and community events, plus consistent exposure for the livestream. The aging fixtures, dimming, and control infrastructure could not reliably serve both.

Light the faces. Then shape everything around them.

Controlled front light gives cameras and people a reliable view of the platform. Color, movement, texture, and tunable house light then build the environment without sacrificing that foundation.

The looks begin before a fixture turns on.

Fixture positions were coordinated around ceiling height, throw distance, stage positions, camera angles, and service access. Updated power and control infrastructure gave those fixtures a stable system to live on.

Fixture detailFocus + movement

Program the layers. Let the room respond.

The finished system moves from operator input to stage focus, worship atmosphere, and congregation light as one coordinated environment.

Fixture focus

Shape color and movement.

Operator control

Keep every layer reachable.

Room in use

See the whole environment.

House light

Shift the room with intention.

Lighting control

Room to create. A clear path to repeat.

The NX1 gives experienced operators creative depth, while programmed scenes and architectural controls keep common service looks within reach for rotating volunteers. Training was part of the system rather than a handoff afterthought.

Every layer of light. One operating language.

Stage fixtures, congregation lighting, power, architectural stations, networked control, programming, and training were delivered as one system.

Stage lighting

Eighteen Elation KL Profile FC fixtures establish controlled key light. Four Fuze SFX, four Rayzor 760 fixtures, and eight Six+ Bar L fixtures add movement, color, texture, and flexible worship looks.

House lighting

Twenty-one H.E. Williams RGBW fixtures let the congregation space move from bright and welcoming to focused worship scenes while maintaining a clean architectural presence.

Power + architecture

Updated ETC power distribution, button stations, and EchoTouch control replace aging infrastructure and keep common room-lighting functions accessible away from the main console.

Programming + control

An Obsidian NX1 and Luminex LumiNode provide multi-universe control. Qohr terminated the system, programmed repeatable service scenes, and trained the team on everyday operation.

“Brian and Jeremy provided a comprehensive site survey and designed a solution that fit our budget while meeting our needs. Their team also provided excellent training for all of our volunteers.”

A warmer room. A cleaner image.

The sanctuary can now move between arrival, worship, teaching, and events with consistent stage exposure, tunable congregation light, and repeatable control for the people who operate it every week.
